Why You Should Care About Affiliate Marketing
I’ve had a lot of jobs, but I’ve never had a career. The closest thing to a career I’ve had is working as an independent catastrophe claims adjuster- figuring out what the insurance company owes a homeowner to fix their house after a storm hits it. I didn’t even start doing it until well after my 37th birthday. It’s good money. One hundred thousand dollars per year and up is routine, and in some years I’ve made better than two hundred thousand dollars. And that’s not even the best part. Most years I don’t even work a full six months.
Odds are pretty good that if you’re reading this, you’ve never experienced life above a hundred thousand dollars per year. It’s double the median income in the United States. My best year- $227,000- which I earned in just shy of 4 months- put me in the top 5% of income earners in my home state of Florida. So, you might be asking yourself: “Why would he walk away from that?” In fact, some of you might be asking yourselves, “How do I get into that!?”. There’s two good reasons why you shouldn’t- and I’ll get back to those in just a bit.
The reason I am walking away is that I’ve always been very jealous of my time. I’m not a very materialistic person. Money has never mattered that much to me if it took up all my time to get it. I have always been on the lookout for opportunities to earn as much as possible as quickly as possible so I could enjoy life.
I don’t need a big house or a fancy car. But it would be nice to have the cash that if I did want those things, I could have them. What I want is to be able to own my own time. I just don’t want to report to anyone, you know? Even being your own boss, you’ve got customers to deal with.

Just as an example, one affiliate marketing program alone pays 70% commissions on 3 product levels + compression. I have earned as much as $17,000 in a single day, but my average day is right around $300. And that’s a 7 day week because the internet doesn’t sleep.

If I told the whole story, people’s faces would melt off and then I’d have to spend my days walking around dodging face-goo. So, for my own personal convenience, I’m keeping it to where most people can relate.
If I wrote a book on affiliate marketing, I might call it “…how to make six-figures on social sharing just 3 memes per day”. Because that’s about all I do is make social posts.
Again- there’s a little bit more work involved, but c’mon- how much time do we waste online anyway? It’s been nice turning some of my wasted time into cash.
